This is a .300 H&H Magnum rifle produced in 1962. The receiver and bolt are both marked with serial number 553428.
The receiver bluing has some edge wear and fading, along with the bolt. The bottom metal has a few light scratches and a very small patch of freckling. The barrel is in excellent condition with no dings or scratches in the metal and just a few spots of minor finish wear.
The Monte Carlo stock has its original finish and is in excellent condition with just a couple handling marks but no significant dings, splits, or stains. The checkering is in excellent condition. The hard rubber butt plate has one nick on the toe but is otherwise in perfect condition.
The bore of the 26" barrel is in excellent condition with almost no throat wear and just a very few shallow pits, rating a 9 out of 10. Borescope verified. It appears the crown has been re-cut.
