This is a .300 H&H Magnum rifle produced in 1958. The bolt and receiver are serial number matched with number 436847. This rifle retains all factory-original finishes with a moderate amount of honest wear.
The metal on this rifle rates 85% overall. There's light bluing loss to the receiver rails and the bolt components. The bolt handle has significant wear and some rust pitting. There's edgewear around the muzzle, scratches and rubs on the barrel, and light scratches on the bottom metal.
The bore of the 26" barrel is in very good condition, rating an 8 out of 10 due to some light throat wear and a few pits. Borescope verified.
The Low Comb stock wears its factory finish with some handling marks in the form of scratches, scuffs, small dings and dents. There are no cracks, splits, chips, gouges or any structural issues. The checkering is remarkably sharp and clean, with just a few tiny blemishes. The steel buttplate retains most of its bluing in excellent condition.
