This is a Winchester model 70 Featherweight rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The receiver and bolt are both marked with serial number 522379, indicating a 1961 manufacture date. This rifle grades in NRA very good condition.
The stock has its original finish with just a couple of handling marks. The checkering on this rifle is in excellent condition with almost no wear, as is the original hard rubber buttplate.
The blued finishes are in very good to excellent condition with only minor wear. The aluminum bottom metal has some fading, edge wear, and light scratches. There are two small dings in the barrel. The trigger has a few marks from a previously installed trigger shoe. All parts appear to be original.
The bore is in very good condition with just minor wear and no pits. We rate it as an 8 out of 10. Borescope verified.
