This is a fantastic scope mount option for pre-war rifles, as it permits a scope using the factory holes. This mount will work with any model 70 (including post-war) as well as the model 54, as shown in the photo. Note - there are different variants of the Stith mount - the one shown in the detailed pictures is the actual one you will receive. The overview picture is a generic photo, not the actual part.
These are vintage mounts and are designed for period scopes from the 1940s and early 1950s. The rings are 1" in diameter. This mounting solution works excellent with any scope with a 1" straight tube.
