When Winchester introduced the .458 Winchester Magnum cartridge in the "African" Super Grade rifle in 1958, the rifle needed a special sight. Initially they used a variation of the Lyman Number 6, but then quickly adopted this new sight, the Adjustable Sporting Rear Sight. Elevation adjustments are made with the small wheel; windage adjustments are made by drifting the entire insert.
This sight is a Winchester original part; fully functional, in very good condition, and complete with the correct screws.
