This stock is originally from a standard rifle produced between 1941 and 1948. It will fit all standard rifles made between 1936 and 1948.
This stock is in very good condition with no cracks, chips, gouges, dents, or past repairs. The finish appears original overall, with light scratches and dings. There are some spots where the finish has been disrupted, as if something caustic dripped on it. There are also some areas of shininess, where a previous owner may have touched-up the finish with less than perfect results.
The checkering appears original and quite worn, but without any gouges or major flaws. It's equipped with a vented recoil pad reading "Western Sportsman, Elko Nevada, custom made by Pachmayr." The length of pull is standard, at 13-5/8". This will make a great hunting stock to take out in rough conditions, or would be beautiful refinished.
