This low comb stock is originally from a standard rifle produced between 1950 and 1958. It will fit all standard rifles made between 1948 and 1963, other than the H&H magnum and .458 magnum chamberings. It wears its original factory finish and butt plate.
The stock presents in very good condition with no cracks, splits, gouges, or other structural issues. The finish remains in excellent condition with light wear and handling marks. There are no deep scratches or significant cosmetic blemishes. The checkering is also clean and undamaged. The original buttplate wears its factory bluing in almost perfect condition aside from a few very small scuffs.
This stock had a small type-I crack which was professionally repaired in our shop. A previous owner cut a 1" notch for a receiver sight, and this notch has also been filled in our shop, and the surrounding finish blended. Please see photos. Otherwise this stock remains factory original and unmodified.
