This is a low comb stock originally from a standard rifle produced between 1950 and 1958. It will fit all standard rifles made between 1948 and 1963, other than the H&H magnum and .458 magnum chamberings. It's equipped with super grade swivel bases, which was an option in the Winchester Custom Shop. Based on our evaluation of this stock, we believe it to be an original unmodified Custom Shop Stock.
This stock is structurally sound with no cracks, chips, splits, dents or past repairs. the original finish presents in very good condition with only minor scratches, dings and handling marks. The checkering remains in good condition with some minor flattening. The worst wear appears on the buttplate, which contains significant rust pitting and has almost no bluing left.
