This stock is originally from a Super Grade rifle chambered in .300 H&H magnum, produced between 1951 and 1961. It will fit all .300 H&H rifles produced between 1948 and 1963 with a standard barrel contour.
This stock is structurally sound with no splits, chips, cracks, gouges or past repairs. It has been professionally refinished in the Pre64win shop and equipped with a reproduction Winchester recoil pad. There are no scratches, stains or other imperfections to the new finish. There's one tiny ding on the black tip of the stock. The grip cap appears original, as well as the super grade sling swivels.
A previous owner has cosmetically modified this stock with inlaid wood diamonds. The workmanship on the wood inlay is very good. The checkering has also been touched-up or recut some time in the past. It is imperfect, with some areas too deep, some flat spots, and some blemishes.
