This mint condition stock comes from a standard rifle produced in 1962 or 1963. It will fit all standard rifles produced between 1948 and 1963, other than the H&H magnums and .458 magnum chamberings. It shows no sign of wear or damage.
This stock comes from a particularly attractive piece of American walnut. It presents in pristine condition with no cracks, chips, dents, scratches, oil stains, handling marks, or repairs. It has not been bedded or modified in any way. It could pass for New Old Stock, except there are subtle marks showing where a receiver and bottom metal have been in contact with the wood. The checkering is sharp, clean and unmarred, and the hard plastic buttplate is in excellent condition with a tiny ding on one edge. Overall, this is a mint-condition stock for a collector-grade rifle.
