This is a customized stock made for a post-war standard rifle. It will fit any standard rifle produced between 1948 and 1963 (not Featherweight or H&H magnum). It appears this stock began as a low-comb standard stock, but has been modified in several ways. The original steel butt plate has been replaced with a thin Pachmayr pad. Studs have been added for use with standard quick-release sling swivels. A grip cap was added, along with a black forearm tip. The forearm checkering panels have been modified with the addition of a third point on the rear end. There is some bedding material that may have to be relieved slightly to fit another receiver.
There are some light handling marks but no significant gouges, dents, or other damage. The finish is similar in appearance to the factory finish but is assumed to not be original.
