This is a .220 Swift target rifle produced in 1949. The rifle appears to have its factory-original finishes and grades in NRA very good condition.
The original bluing on the rifle is very good grading at better than 90% with light edge wear and some general thinning of the bluing. The bottom metal has some light edge wear.
The bore of the 26" stainless barrel is in very good condition with no pitting and light throat erosion. There is light wear of the lands in the few inches of the bore, which otherwise is nearly perfect. We grade the bore an 8 out of 10.
All parts are original and correct for the period and chambering. The bolt is correct and serial number matched to the receiver.
The stock retains an original appearing finish in very good condition with a few light handling marks, but no damage. The stock has not been shortened, bedded or otherwise modified and retains its original steel buttplate. The correct 1.25" target swivels and hand stop are present.
