This is a very clean Featherweight rifle chambered in .243 Winchester. The rifle was produced in 1956 and is in NRA excellent condition.
On initial inspection, this rifle passes as 100% original. However, upon a detailed examination, we find the clues to know this rifle is in fact a superb restoration.
The rifle has no condition issues, nor evidence of condition issues before the restoration. The bluing and stock finishes are outstanding and perfectly replicate the original finishes. There is no evidence of pits, rubs or other damages to the metal parts and the parts were not over-polished before rebluing. All stamps are still crisp and of proper depth. Some slight bluing wear at the muzzle and thinning of the anodized finish on the floor plate is the only evidence of use. The stock finish is excellent with only a few very slight handling marks. There are no cracks or gouges in the stock and the checkering is original. The stock has been professionally bedded and the action is extremely smooth and likely has been been accurized. All work, from the restoration to the accurizing is outstanding and clearly a product of professional workmanship.
NOTE: This rifle must be shipped to an FFL or C&R holder who can complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who receive and transfer the rifle to you.
