This is a 1957 Featherweight rifle chambered in .243 Winchester. The receiver and bolt are marked with matching serial numbers - 421562.
The metal is in excellent condition with an original factory finish, no notable blemishes and very little bluing wear. The aluminum bottom metal is still mostly dark, with a few small scratches. There is some light finish wear on the receiver rails, on the extractor, at the muzzle, on the edges, and on the firing pin. The bolt handle has notable wear and freckling.
The stock is original to the rifle with a Monte Carlo comb and an aluminum buttplate. The stock has no modifications and retains its original factory finish. There is light handling wear, but no significant repairs, cracks, damage, dents, or staining. The buttplate has wear, but no deep gouges. The checking is in good condition.
The bore of the 22" barrel has light throat wear and a few scattered pits, rating a 7 out of 10 under borescope examination.
