This is a 1959 Featherweight rifle chambered in .243 Win. The metal retains its original factory finishes in NRA excellent condition. Due to the light recoil, many .243's have been fired a lot, showing significant wear, but not this one. The receiver and bolt are both marked with serial number 453213, indicating a 1959 manufacture date.
The Monte Carlo stock is in excellent condition with no notable cracks, splits, or repairs. The checkering is clean and crisp. The stock retains its original hard rubber buttplate, which does show some light wear.
The original factory bluing is in excellent condition only very light wear and the aluminum bottom metal is still in near perfect condition.
The bore of the 22" barrel shows almost no wear and no notable pitting, rating a 9 out of 10. Borescope verified.
