This .270 WCF standard rifle was produced in 1949 and retains its original factory finishes and configuration. It grades in NRA very good condition.
The original bluing is better than 90% with very light edge wear and on the receiver and bottom metal and fading/wear on the bolt knob and receiver.
The bore of the 24" barrel is bright with strong rifling and no pitting or heat cracking. There is slight erosion at the throat, but not problematic. We grade the bore an 8 out of 10.
The stock retains its factory finish in excellent condition. The factory steel buttplate is intact and has some bluing wear and a few shallow pits. There are no cracks or stains in the wood and the checkering is crisp and unblemished. There are a few small handling marks overall, as shown in the photos, but all are very minor and there are no gouges or other real damage of the wood.
