This is a 1956 Featherweight rifle chambered in .270 Winchester. The receiver and bolt are marked with matching serial numbers - 390448.
The metal is in very good condition with an original factory finish, only a few small scratches, and very little bluing wear. We rate the bluing at 90%. The aluminum bottom metal is still dark, with some small scratches and light wear.
The stock is original to the rifle with a Monte Carlo comb and an aftermarket White Line recoil pad. The recoil pad sits a little proud. The stock has a few handling marks and the checkering is worn. There are no significant gouges, splits, or other damage.
The bore of the 22" barrel has no pitting and very little throat wear, resulting in a rating of 9 out of 10. Borescope verified.
