This is a rare .270 Winchester sightless rifle produced in 1961. The receiver and bolt are both marked with serial number 505404. The rifle is in NRA excellent condition.
The original bluing on this rifle grades at 95%, showing almost no wear, the notable exceptions being slight wear on the bolt components, the bottom metal, and the receiver rails. There is some freckling on the recoil lug. There are no dings in the metal.
The bore has very minor pitting and throat wear, reducing the rating to a 9 out of 10. Borescope verified.
The Monte Carlo stock has an original finish. There is one small scrape on the left side of the butt near the sling swivel, but no other significant gouges, cracks, dents, oil stains, or even handling marks. The original checkering is particularly clean and crisp without any flat spots or dings. The hard rubber butt plate is in very good condition.
