This 1960 .30-06 is a very nice representative sample of a later model Featherweight rifle. The bolt and receiver have matching serial numbers; 469734.
The metal is in very good to excellent condition; the bluing rates at 90%. The barrel has light wear around the muzzle, the bolt handle has wear, and the floorplate has some fading. There are a few light marks on the front receiver ring from a previously mounted scope. There are no notable dings, scratches, or other signs of metal damage.
The refinished stock has a tight crack on the right side of the butt that has been professionally repaired in our shop. The checkering is clean, crisp, and shows only light wear only under close examination.
The bore of the 22" barrel rates a 9 out of 10, with almost no wear or pitting.
