This is a superb Featherweight rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield and produced in 1961. The rifle grades in NRA excellent, approaching perfect condition.
The metal finishes grade better than 98%. Although this rifle appears to have all factory finishes, we believe the metal parts have all been expertly reblued. The blowing is so well done we would never have spotted the rework, except that there is bluing inside the proof stamp. The aluminum bottom metal finishes are original and show only slight edge wear. Overall, metal finishes are excellent, approaching perfect.
The bore of the 22" barrel grades a 7/10. It has very little evidence if use, but has been downgraded due to a small amount of light pitting in one small area mid-bore. We don’t anticipate this will significantly affect how the rifle shoots.
The monte carlo comb stock is in perfect restored condition with no modifications. The finish is excellent and the checkering clean and crisp. We see no discernable blemishes in this stock whatsoever.
All parts are correct and appear to be original to the rifle. The bolt is serial number matched to the receiver.
