This is a Winchester model 70 Featherweight rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The receiver and bolt are both marked with serial number 561278, indicating a 1962 manufacture date. This rifle grades in NRA excellent condition.
The stock has its original finish and almost no defects; just a couple very small/shallow dings. The checkering is also in excellent condition with no notable wear or flat spots. The original hard rubber buttplate has some dings and scratches. There are no repairs, splits, cracks or other damage to the stock.
The blued finishes are in excellent condition with almost no wear anywhere. There are a few very light scratches /rubs on the receiver and a couple light scratches on the barrel, near the muzzle, on the bottom side. The aluminum bottom metal is likewise in excellent condition with almost no wear. All parts appear to be original and correct for the rifle.
The bore is in excellent condition with minor throat wear and no pitting. We rate it as a 9 out of 10. Borescope verified.
