This 1953 .30-06 is a fantastic representative example of "The Rifleman's Rifle". The metal is in excellent condition; the bluing rates at 98% with almost no marks or wear.
The stock has a few light signs of wear in its original finish but there are no cracks, chips, splits, stains, or repairs. The original sling studs have been replaced with aftermarket studs. The checkering is clean, crisp, original and shows light wear only under close examination.
The bore of the 24" barrel is excellent with very light wear and no notable pits or other issues.
