This is an all original and very clean .30-06 standard rifle made in 1950. Overall condition for this rifle grades in NRA very good condition.
The metal finishes are all original with bluing grading at 95%. There is bluing edge wear and at the muzzle and on the high points from honest use, but no rubs, gouges or other noteworthy blemishes in the metal or bluing. The action is in excellent mechanical condition with all correct parts. The bolt serial number is present and matched to the receiver. The rear sight is the correct Winchester 22G. The bore has been inspected via borescope and is excellent, grading an 8 out of 10. It has strong and bright rifling with no pitting or throat erosion and just a small amount of copper fouling.
The straight comb stock is in very good condition with the original finish. There are a few very light handling marks and one small nick on the right side near the buttplate. There are no cracks, stains, gouges, chips or other noteworthy blemishes. The checkering is crisp with no blemishes. The stock has not been shortened, bedded or otherwise modified.
