This .300 H&H Magnum Sporter rifle was produced in 1948 and is an excellent Type-II transition example with cloverleaf tang and a smooth, undrilled receiver bridge. This rifle grades in NRA excellent condition.
The metal grades at 95%+ with all original bluing and no notable blemishes. There are no noted damages, pitting, rubs or other issues.
The low comb stock retains its original steel buttplate with some bluing loss. The original stock finish is intact with very few handling marks and no cracks, stains, gouges, bedding, other blemishes or modifications.
The bore of the 26" barrel is excellent with no noted wear, erosion or pits. It grades 8 out of 10 under borescope inspection.
All parts are correct and appear to be original to the rifle. The bolt is serial number matched to the receiver.
