This is an incredible custom sporter rifle chambered in the legendary .308 Norma Magnum. The rifle is built on a 1953 action.
The condition is excellent. There are a few very slight handling marks in the stock, but they are all very minor. The metal is perfect. The bolt is serial number matched to the receiver.
All metal has been line-grain polished to a high luster and rust blued a deep black color. The stock is an unknown hardwood with rosewood details. The shaping, inletting, checkering and finishing are all superb - a top quality custom rifle. The stock is not bedded other than a small pad of bedding at the recoil lug and also at the barrel rear sight boss.
Because the barrel channel is not bedded, and because this rifle is built using a standard #1 contour Winchester barrel, this rifle can be re-barreled into any belted magnum caliber without needing any other modification.
