This is another early .308 Winchester Featherweight rifle, produced in 1953 (2nd year of production). This rifle is 100% original, with factory finishes and parts. It grades in NRA excellent condition.

This rifle has all original bluing, grading at 95%.  The barrel and bottom metal are in very good to excellent condition, with only light wear to the finish.  The bore of the 22" barrel contains almost no erosion, pitting, or fouling and it grades an 8 out of 10 with the Borescope.

The stock retains the original factory finish in excellent, nearly perfect condition.  The wood has no notable gouges, cracks, oil stains or other problems. The checkering is crisp and clean with no blemishes.  The factory aluminum buttplate is also intact and in very good condition, with just some light finish wear.

As an early featherweight, this rifle has the type-II bolt (undrilled knob), which is unique to these earliest of Featherweight rifles. The bolt is correct and serial number matched to the rifle

NOTE: This rifle must be shipped to an FFL or C&R holder who can complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who receive and transfer the rifle to you.
