This is a .308 Winchester Featherweight rifle produced in 1953. Both the bolt and receiver are marked with the serial number 256950. The rifle is in NRA very good condition.
The original bluing on this rifle grades at 90%, with wear on the bolt components and some edge wear on the muzzle and the sight hood. The aluminum trigger guard has a small scratch on the front side and the floorplate has edge wear and a few small scratches. There are no other notable dings, freckling, or other damage to the metal.
The bore has no notable pitting and only light throat wear resulting in a rating of 9 out of 10. Borescope verified.
The Monte Carlo stock has an original finish with several handling marks, but no significant gouges, cracks, dents, or oil stains. The original checkering has some dings and flat spots. The aluminum butt plate has significant wear.
