This is a beautiful .375 H&H model 70 rifle, produced in 1954. The receiver and bolt are serial number matched with number 295265. It grades in NRA very good condition.
The bore of the 25" medium contour barrel is in pristine condition with no significant wear, pitting or heat cracking. It grades a 10 out of 10 with borescope inspection.
The original low comb stock retains its factory finish in extremely good condition. There are no cracks, splits, chips, dents, gouges or deep scratches. There is light handling wear and a few dings to the finish, but no notable damage. The factory recoil pad remains soft and pliable. The checkering is also in excellent condition with a few flat spots but no major blemishes or damage.
The metal has no notable dings, scratches or other defects. There is some light finish wear and scratches (in the finish, not into the metal) on the receiver, bolt components, and bottom metal. We rate the bluing at 90%.
