This is a rare early pre-war stock, originally from a standard rifle produced between 1936 and 1941. It features extra fine checkering of 20 lines per inch, found only on stocks produced before 1942. It will fit all standard rifles made between 1936 and 1948. It has been professionally restored in the Pre64win shop.
This gorgeous stock remains in pristine refinished condition with no cracks, chips, gouges, oil stains or other damage. The new finish is smooth and even with no scratches, and the original steel buttplate has been reblued. The 20-lines-per-inch checkering has been refreshed in our shop to restore it to original like-new condition. The steel buttplate has been reblued and shows no wear or damage. Unlike many early pre-war stocks, this one has not been notched for a receiver sight. It has no damage and no modifications, aside from the restoration work described above. The length of pull remains standard, at 13-5/8".
LOP: 13-5/8"
