This stock is originally from a standard rifle produced between 1941 and 1948. It will fit all standard rifles made between 1936 and 1948.
The stock has a notable crack repair. The crack was in the shape of a V, straddling the top edge of the stock and reaching down either side where it touches the checkering. Please see detailed photos. This crack has been repaired and appears sound, but the repairs were not done in our shop.
The checkering looks recut - fresh and sharp. The wood finish has a matte finish with no shine, and does not appear factory original. The buttplate is the original steel plate, with much bluing loss. The stock has been bedded and may need some bedding material relieved.
