This stock is originally from a standard rifle produced between 1941 and 1948. It will fit all standard rifles made between 1936 and 1948.
This is an excellent-condition stock which has been previously refinished, though not in the pre64win shop. It has no cracks, chips, gouges, oil stains or deep scratches. The finish is smooth and even and very attractive. The only blemishes are some very subtle scuffs and scratches. The checkering appears to have been touched up with mixed results ... some areas look very good, and others look flat or imperfect. Please see photos. The original steel buttplate has been reblued here in the pre64win shop.
This stock has been bedded, and then the bedding relieved. The screw hole closest to the tip has been filled from the inside, but is still functional from the outside.
