This stock is originally from a standard rifle produced between 1948 and 1950. It will fit all standard rifles made between 1948 and 1963, other than the H&H magnum and .458 magnum chamberings. It wears its original factory finish with a bit of character in the form of light handling marks.
The factory finish on this stock is in very good condition with the expected light scratches and scuffs from 80 years of use. The stock has no cracks, splits, chips, gouges or past repairs. The original steel buttplate has been replaced with a vented Pachmayr recoil pad, and the length of pull has been shorted to 12-1/2". It has never been bedded and it has no modifications other than the recoil pad. The original checkering remains in excellent condition with no notable blemishes or damage.
