This stock is originally from a standard rifle produced during the transition period between 1948 and 1950. It will fit all standard rifles made between 1948 and 1963, other than the H&H magnum and .458 magnum chamberings. It features the tapered tang of the post-war era, and the circular grip cap of the pre-war era. It has been modified in the following ways:
- The barrel channel has been opened up for a large (custom) barrel contour.
- A Decelerator recoil pad has been installed.
- The checkering has been sanded off.
- The stock has a smooth, shiny appearance.
This stock is in excellent condition with no structural damage such as cracks, splits or chips. There are light handling marks, scratches and small dings but overall it remains quite attractive. The Decelerator pad is soft and free of cracks. The length of pull is 13-1/2".
