This stock is originally from a standard rifle produced between 1950 and 1958. It will fit all standard rifles made between 1948 and 1963, other than the H&H magnum and .458 magnum chamberings.
This stock is structurally sound, with no cracks, chips or past repairs. It has not been shortened, bedded, or otherwise modified. Cosmetically, it is heavily worn, with many scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish loss. The finish adjacent to the butt plate is almost completely worn off. In contrast, the checkering on this stock is clean and sharp, and in excellent condition with no major blemishes. The original steel butt plate is in good condition but with significant bluing loss. This would be an excellent stock to take out in rough conditions, or a perfect candidate for refinishing.
