This stock is originally from a standard rifle produced between 1950 and 1958. It will fit all standard rifles made between 1948 and 1963, other than the H&H magnum and .458 magnum chamberings.
This stock is structurally sound, with no cracks, chips or past repairs. It has not been shortened, bedded, or otherwise modified. The wood itself remains in excellent condition; however, cosmetically the finish is a mess, with excessive peeling around the checkering panels, and also near the buttplate. Overall, the finish is nearly 50% gone. In contrast, the checkering is still in very good condition. This stock retains its original steel buttplate, but with significant bluing loss. It's also equipped with "Uncle Mikes" style studs. This would be an excellent stock to take out in rough conditions, or a perfect candidate for refinishing.
