This Monte Carlo style stock is originally from a standard rifle produced between 1951 and 1961. It will fit all standard rifles produced between 1948 and 1963, other than the H&H magnums and .458 Magnum chamberings.
This stock is in good condition with no cracks or chips, but a significant amount of handling wear. The original finish has scratches, scuffs and rubs, but almost no peeling or oil stains. The checkering is in very good condition with some minor flattening but no notable flaws. It is equipped with a White Line vented recoil pad, and the length of pull has been shortened slightly, to 13-1/4".
This stock has previously been bedded, and the bedding material has been partly relieved. Likely in the removal process, a large gouge was been taken out of the inner barrel channel. This stock will need to be bedded again, in order to fill that gouge. It will also greatly benefit from being refinished.
