In mid-1962 Winchester added the .264 Win Mag chambering to the Featherweight line, and this is the stock it wore. A Featherweight contour with a factory vented red recoil pad. Although made specifically for the .264 Win Mag Featherweight, it will fit all Featherweight rifles produced.
This is a high condition stock with no cracks, chips, gouges, stains or repairs. It has not been shortened, bedded or otherwise modified. The finish appearance is similar to factory finish, but we suspect it has been refinished at some point (not in our shop). There is slight over-coating in the checkering area and in one small wood groove, but otherwise the finish looks very professional and well done. There are minor handling marks include a few small surface scratches and tiny scuffs, but no notable cosmetic issues. The original checkering remains in very good condition with a few flat spots. The original vented Winchester recoil pad remains in excellent condition without cracks or damage.
