This is a beautiful .22 Hornet standard rifle produced in 1952. The rifle retains the original factory bluing and stock finish with no added holes or other modifications. It grades in NRA very good, approaching excellent condition.
The stock is uncut with no cracks or other noteworthy blemishes. The factory steel buttplate is intact. The checkering is crisp and unblemished. There are just a few very slight handling marks and light bluing wear on the steel buttplate, as shown in the photos. The original bluing is excellent with slight edge wear and no major blemishes. The bolt is serial number matched to the rifle and all original Hornet parts are present and undamaged. The bore of the 24" barrel is bright with strong rifling. The original .22 Hornet chamber has been verified - this rifle has not been rechambered.
