This is a beautiful .22 Hornet standard rifle produced in 1950. Both the bolt and receiver are marked with serial number 143171. The rifle has factory finishes on both the metal and the stock. The rifle grades in NRA excellent condition.

The low-comb stock is unmodified with the original steel butt plate. There are a few very shallow scratches near the wrist, but no other notable dings, scratches, cracks, splits, or other defects or signs of wear. There is a small repair next to the forearm screw hole; it appears a small hole was filled, see pictures. The checkering remains well defined with a few smaller flat spots but no major defects.

The original Winchester bluing of the rifle is about 95%, with almost no edge wear and only minor wear on the rails and in the tang.

The bore of the 24" CMS steel barrel is in near perfect condition, rating a 9 out of 10.
