This is a nicely refinished .22 Hornet standard rifle produced in 1953. The receiver is marked with serial number 252247; the bolt is not marked.

The Monte Carlo stock has been previously refinished and is in excellent condition with only a few faint handling marks. There are no dings, cracks or splits. The butt plate has been reblued and is in excellent condition. The checkering is clean and crisp with no notable flat spots.

The rifle was previously reblued. The bluing is about about 98%, with no significant edge wear or blemishes. There are no significant dings or other defects in the metal.

There is considerable pitting in the first half of the bore; less nearer the muzzle and the last several inches are mostly free of pitting. We rate the bore a 5 out of 10.
