This .22 Hornet rifle was produced in 1956. This rifle grades in NRA very good condition.
The metal grades at 95%-98% with almost no handling wear; there is faint wear on the muzzle and the bolt handle. There is a very small ding on the right side on the receiver and wear on the firing pin, but no other noted damage, pitting, rubs or other issues.
The Monte Carlo stock retains its original steel buttplate. The stock finish appears original with a few minor blemishes and a very small chip near the buttplate, but no cracks, stains, gouges, bedding or other blemishes or modifications.
The bore of the 26" barrel is excellent with no noted wear, erosion or pits. It grades a 9 out of 10 under borescope inspection.
All parts are correct and appear to be original to the rifle. The bolt is serial number matched to the receiver.
