This is a nice early .22 Hornet standard rifle produced in 1950 with serial number 147775. The bolt is serial number matched to the rifle and all original Hornet parts are present. This rifle is in excellent condition but shows evidence of some refinishing. Hang tags, instructions, warranty card, and a box are included.
The low-comb stock possibly has an original finish with some touch-up work, or it has been refinished. There are a few shallow dings and scratches but no cracks or splits. The butt plate appears to have been reblued. The checkering remains very well-defined with no flaws.
The bluing is near perfect and there are no notable dings, scratches, or other defects in the metal.
The bore of the 24" has no throat wear but a few pits just in front of the chamber; we rate it as a 9 out of 10.
