This is a .220 Swift stainless steel standard contour barrel from a 1949 Model 70 rifle.
Bluing and Metal - The bluing is in excellent condition with a few spots of very minor wear, including near the muzzle. There is a ding in the metal near the rear sight boss - see pictures. Other than this, there is no damage to the metal.
Bore - 9/10 - While these stainless barrels generally do not get pitted, a lot of the .220 Swift barrels show significant throat erosion - this one does not. There is a bit of throat wear; it's very minor, resulting in grading of 9 out of 10 for the bore.
