This .220 Swift standard rifle was produced in 1946.
The stock retains its factory finish in very good condition. There are some dings, scratches, and wear marks, but no notable cracks, chips, or repairs. The factory steel buttplate is intact with some bluing wear.
The original bluing on the rifle is in very good condition - grading at 90%. There is a worn spot on the barrel (see pictures) and some minor edge wear and blemishes.
The .220 Swift cartridge had a reputation for burning barrels, but that sure isn't the case in this rifle. The 26" stainless steel barrel has only very light wear in the throat and no pitting - confirmed by borescope examination.
The action is tight with no issues. All parts are original and correct for the period and chambering. The bolt is correct and serial number matched to the receiver.
