This .220 Swift standard rifle was produced in 1951. It is a high-condition rifle with mostly factory finishes and in original configuration. It grades in NRA very good to excellent, condition.
The original bluing on the rifle is excellent, grading at 95% with just some very slight edge wear and no blemishes. The only notable finish wear is on the bolt knob, extractor ring, and buttplate which show some bluing loss. The bore of the 26" stainless barrel is nearly perfect, rating a 9 out of 10. Under borescope, we have confirmed this rifle has had almost no use with no noted erosion, pitting, heat damage or fouling.
The action is tight with no issues or visible wear. All parts are original and correct for the period and chambering. The bolt is correct and serial number matched to the receiver.
The stock is professionally restored, and in excellent condition with just a few minor handling marks, and a couple very tiny blemishes in the checkering.
This rifle came out of a collection in London, Ontario, Canada. We managed the import and the rifle has an extremely small and discrete import mark on the underside of the barrel, just forward of the stock tip (see photo). The import mark measured approximately .050" by .250" in size.
