This is a .220 Swift standard rifle produced in 1954 with a serial number of 289179. The bolt is correct and serial number matched to the receiver.

The original bluing on the rifle is very good, grading at better than 90% with some blotchiness on the receiver and a little freckling on the bottom metal. There are some dings on the barrel knot caused by removal or installation of rear sight, but no other deep scratches or dings in the metal.

The bore of the 26" stainless barrel is in excellent condition with no pitting and only light wear. We grade the it a 9 out of 10.

The low comb stock has been bedded around the recoil lug and in the tang area; the bedding is still solid and firmly bonded to the wood. The stock has not been shortened and it retains its original steel buttplate. The original finish has light wear and one gouge near the rear sling swivel. The checkering has some flats spots.

NOTE: This rifle must be shipped to an FFL or C&R holder who can complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can receive and transfer the rifle to you.
