This is a 1961 Featherweight rifle chambered in .243 Winchester. The receiver and bolt are marked with matching serial numbers 523495.
The metal is in very good condition with an original factory finish, only light superficial scratches and very little bluing wear. The aluminum bottom metal is still mostly dark, with a few small scratches. The finish on the bolt handle, muzzle, and sight hood all remain in extremely good condition.
The stock is original to the rifle with a Monte Carlo comb and a factory hard plastic buttplate. It wears the factory finish in good condition, though with handling wear including some light scratches, dings, scuffs and small dents. There are no cracks, stains, gouges or past repairs. The checkering is clean and in very good condition.
The bore of the 22" barrel has no throat wear or heat cracking. There are a few light pits and some minor copper fouling and a just few pits near the muzzle, rating an 8+ out of 10 under borescope examination.
