This is a .243 Winchester featherweight barrel manufactured in 1956.
Bluing - 85% - The bluing on this barrel is slightly faded in some areas and has significant spots of concentrated bluing wear, particularly in the area under the stock.
Metal - Overall, this barrel is in very good condition. There are some very minor scratches in various spots along the barrel, but no significant nicks or other forms of metal damage.
Bore - 6/10 - The bore shows some signs of wear and heat cracking. The rifling is smooth and clearly defined, but there are a few spots of light pitting beginning to emerge in the bore. Borescope verified.
