This is a .243 Winchester Featherweight barrel. The manufacturing date is hard to read; it may be 1956. It has the number 5 front sight ramp, which was mostly used in 1954 but is found on barrels as late as 1957. The #5 ramp was only used for a short period of time and Roger Rule describes it as "experimental" in his book The Rifleman's Rifle.
Bluing - 80% - The bluing has notable wear, especially along the top of the barrel.
Metal - This is a notable scratch just under the caliber marking and several light, shallow scratches.
Bore - 7/10 - There is moderate throat wear and pitting. Borescope verified.
