This is a .257 Roberts Standard rifle built in 1954. The bolt and receiver are both marked with serial number 307431. The rifle is in NRA very good condition. 

The refinished Monte Carlo stock is in excellent condition with no dents, dings, splits, or chips. The checkering is clean and crisp with no flat spots. The steel butt plate has been re-blued and is in excellent condition.

The bluing is at 90%, with some thinning and wear on the bolt components and light wear on the bottom metal. The are no notable scratches, dings, or other metal damage or repairs. Overall, the metal is in excellent condition. 

The bore of the 24" barrel is rated as a 6 out of 10, with a mix of modest throat wear, some heat cracking, and pitting.
